Hi,

The Webench simulation shows the PG pin connected to Vout thru 100k R for the 12V configuration.

The datasheet say that max V on PG pin is 5V5.

Question: Is the Webench simulation correct? Or should I use a Voltage divider? External LDO?

I know that this topic was before, but the answer is unclear.

Hi Robert:

The Webench model is based on the 5V EVM. Sorry for confusing you.
However, this webench circuit will not cause damage because of the use of 100k, which will limit the current flowing into the PG pin, in which there is an ESD structure like a Zener to clamp pin voltage.

It's recommend the PG pin below 5V, and divided resistance is ok. The value of resistance should double check with the post-stage circuit.
