UCC21222-Q1: UCC21222-Q1

Part Number: UCC21222-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC21520-Q1

Hello Team,

I am using Ucc21222-Q1 for our application.
The absolute maximum voltage of VDDA and VDDB pin is mentioned to be 20V in datasheet.
In one of our application, in a worst case scenario the voltage to this VDD pin will go high (exceeds 20V) for about 50us. Will this pin withstand voltage more than 20V for few micro sec?
If so how much voltage it can withstand and for how much time it can withstand that over voltage?
Requesting you to provide these data which will be helpful for our application.
Thank you!
  • Hi, Leelavathi,

Welcome to e2e, and thanks for your interest in our products!

In addition to what John said in the original post you referenced, we can not recommend using our devices above the Absolute Maximum Ratings table in our data sheet.

You either need to improve your power supply to keep it below 18V, the Recommended Operating Condition max, or if you can't do that, we offer the UCC21520-Q1 which is rated to an ABS Max voltage of 30V, and a Recommended Operating Condition of 25V (for VDDA-VSSA, VDDB-VSSB). VCCI still has a 20V limit on it.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
