UC1875-SP: ThetaJC the junction to case BOTTOM value

Hi Team,

My customer is looking for the specific ThetaJC from the junction to case BOTTOM value for the 5962-9455501VRA device. The only listed thetaJC on the datasheet is the top value. Can you share with us this information?

    Hi Renan,

    We do not currently have this information available. I will submit a request to have ThetaJC evaluated for the bottom of the case, but it may take a few weeks.

    How is the customer planning to use this value?

    Hi Renan,

    We've received the thermal data. It appears 6.2 °C/W is actually the value for Theta-JC(bottom), and Theta-JC(top) is 27.6 °C/W. In regards to Theta-JC, the bottom value is normally taken when packages have a heat sink and the top value is taken otherwise. Since this package does not have a heat sink, it was probably assumed that Theta-JC(top) was measured which is why it is listed as such in the datasheet. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
