UCC28950: How to calculation when using for no-isolated boost converter

Hello E2E,

Our customer has plan to using the UCC28950 for new product. That product is DC35V-input, DC300V/10A-output, it is no-isolated boost converter.
They tried to calculate that using downloaded file for no-isolated boost converter. However, it seems that calculated result was not good.

Questions,
- Is the calculation file unsuitable for designing no-isolated boost converter?
- Does TI can provide any designing method for boost converter used UCC28950?

1,The calculation should be suitable for the no-isolated Boost converter.

2,UCC28950 is controller for PSFB circuit. there is not solution for the Boost converter.

Let me explain a little more about the question.

Our customer is using the excel file(www.ti.com/.../sluc222) for their design,
But it seems not to cover boost design ( I also checked this excel file and found the calculated result became abnormal value when I set transformer turns ratio less than one.

I think we’ll be able to achieve boost converter with FSFB circuit depending on transformer turns ratio.
So it’ll be very appreciated if you share the similar calculation file that covers boost design with us.
or any other advice will also be appreciated.

Hi ACGUH,

TI doesn't recommend to use UCC28951 calculator for the design of boost converter.

Unfortunately, I haven't found a boost controller accompanying with the calculator in product line of HVP. If customer just want to calculate the main parameter in boost converter stage, they can refer to below two paper.
