We use EVM to verify bq40z50 1S design but Fuse pin output only has 2.6V when VBAT = 3.6V.
Fuse pin output should be equal VBAT-0.1 ~VBAT in bq40z50 Data sheet.. Could you help to confirm it?

Hi Chen
Are you using this for a 1s application? Why is vbat 3.6V? If you configure it for 2s, what does the fuse pin measure?
thanks
Onyx
Hi Onyx,
Yes this is 1S application. if bat > 8V, gauge can meet spec. why fuse pin did not equal bat voltage when vbat voltage less then 8V?
It is my test result.
For 2 S , set vcell 1 ,2 = 4.1V Vbat=8.2V fuse pin = 6.15V
For 2S , set vcell 1 ,2 = 3V Vbat=6V fuse pin = 4.58V
For 1S , set vcell 1 3V Vbat=3V fuse pin = 2.6V
Allen
Hello Allen,
Do you have current running through the board when you perform these measurements?
