BQ40Z50-R1: Chem ID for same cells but different capacity

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCEDV

Hello,

I have different batteries capacity with the same cell technology(same cell size and composition). Do I have to perform the Chem ID cycle for each batteries? Or for one battery capacity it's enough since the cells are all the same?

If the cells have the same composition but different size, does the chem ID change?

Regards,

Clement

  • Hi Clement.

When you say different capacities, are you referring to just the no of cells in parallel, or they are two distinct cells but with different capacities

if different capacities then you need run a chem id identification using our online too gpccedv. If the capacity is just differnt because of the no of cells in parallel, then do the id of just on single cell. The parallel configuration will be reflected in the design capacity which you will set.

    thanks

    Onyx
