BQ25892: Device stops charging after a few minutes when ILIM is set at ~2A

Part Number: BQ25892

Hello,

My customer seeing some weird behavior of the device when they have the ILIM set to ~2A; after a few minutes of charging the device stops charging and doesn't respond to I2C commands. The device has to be disabled then re-enabled for it to start working again. They do not see this locked up state when the ILIM is set to a lower level, such as 600mA. The device is not getting hot to the touch so I don't believe this is a thermal shutdown issue.

They are seeing this behavior on the BQ25892 EVM.

Thanks,
Nick
