BQ40Z80: bq40z80

Part Number: BQ40Z80

Hello!

I'vback to work with my 40z80 doard and, according to this thread,

have a new problem - phisically fail in SC situation.

Looks like the  DSG gate driver dont have though power to carry DSG FET opened troug the moment then MCU detects the ASCD and to discharge gate then its needed.

So I tryed many ways to solve this problem but in sum, juast have handful of fried mosfets)))

Remind:

I have 7 cell battery, with up to 8 A discharge currents, in pulse or constant mode.

Use shceme equal to EVM but Sir870 fets in power side. Now I excluded from the scheme crossprotection fet and PCHG fet, and PDSG circuit, they only made it more worse.

So the probe pictures from gate on the situations:

1. Normal OCD1+OCD2 with 4A discharge current (no DSG FET explosion)):

2. ASCDL+ASCD detection in result of connection of the 2700uF/50V e-cap (no fet explosion):

3. Real SC on the 73C/16A thermal fuse with DSG FET explosion, and no ASCD or ASCDL detection....

I have 3M pullup resistor and 1k gate resistor now. ASCD protection registers set on 00 and 11... Mb I should make somekind of driver for the dsg gate? I make many boards on bq4080, but never had the same problem with short  circuit protection(
