TL7660: Vih and Vil on OSC pin

Part Number: TL7660

I would like to use TL7660 as a voltage inverter with an input voltage between 7 and 8 V.

What is the required swing on the OSC pin when clocking it from an external source? I would like to clock it from an FPGA with 3.3 V LVCMOS outputs.

If more than 5 V swing is required, I wonder if you have any suggestions on a suitable level translator. The smaller the better. CD40109 is the only one I have found that can translate from 3 V to 8 V, but that is pretty bulky. Is a discrete NMOS transistor-based inverter the best option?
