Dear Team,
Why the OCP at 3A the device fault signal will assert after 130ms?
But 1.1A will assert immediately
1.1A OCP

Hi Sir,
This part can load 1.5A current maximumly.
For out of spec, we can't guarantee it.
And also the behavior will be abnormal.
For TI's policy, I will first click resolved button.
If you have any other concern, contact me any time.
If you think resolved, please help click 'Issue is solved button'.
Thanks.
Hi Kevin,
For inrush current, the part has the current limit and thermal shut down function.
It can protect the circuit even in hot short condition.
We don't have the spec of the maximum spike but the part can response within tios=2us.
For the 20A inrush current, the duration is short. Our part can protect it.
For TI's policy, I will first click resolved button.
If you have any other concern, contact me any time.

Dear Ziv,
Our customer want to know TPS2553DRVR limit for inrush
even though the hot plug device that they use is over spec ,it should be protected
or you can advice other part for this situation
but please provide the inrush limit for TPS2553DRVR first

Hi Kevin,
Hot short is the most strict condition for over current.
It's the basic function to protect the circuit as hot short.
Hot plug can be treated as with heavy load.
It will not break the part.
The only concern is pulling the input voltage drop.
The part has tios=2us response time to limit the current.
Before the tios, we don't limit the current.
Does customer has the case being broken?
Will click resolve first.
If any, call me any time.
