BQ40Z80: Debounce delay on Emergency FET SHUTDN pin

Hello,

I am hoping that I can configure the debounce delay within the Data Memory section of the bq40z80.

This is in regards to the Emergency FET SHUTDN pin that I am using as an ON/OFF switch for system power. As it stands, the pin has a built in 1 second debounce delay. (i.e. hold down a momentary push button for 1 second to change the entry or exit of shutdown). I would like to change this to 3 seconds if possible.

Is this something that can be configured?

Hello Chris,

Unfortunately, this is a hard coded debounce timer. Could you add some external debounce circuit for the additional timing?

Yes, however I can't seem to come up with a circuit that debounces this pin to GND with a time delay. It seems as though it would be easy. I'm not sure what I'm missing, not yet anyways.

In any case, thank you for the help Kang Kang, it is greatly appreciated.
