Hi TI
Our customers feedback that the ADC cell voltage accuracy of 3 ~ 5mv has been achieved on BQ76930, but the specification is 10mV.
Do ti have any reference design or other optimization suggestions?
Thank you
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
In general use good assembly processes to avoid warping the board to maintain the device specification on the board.
The cell voltage accuracy has the limits shown in the data sheet and the general typical curve shown in figure 2 of the data sheet. Note that the error will vary with voltage. If the user has a voltage of most concern they could calibrate by measuring the difference between the applied voltage for each cell at that target level and the ADC reading, then applying that as an offset to the ADC reading for all voltages. This would make the error smaller at that target voltage but could increase the error at other voltages.
Calibration would take time at the production. More complex calibration schemes could be developed, they would take more processing.
