Dear Sir,

I want to build an energy meter for only one appliance, it can be anything which is being used in the offices or homes .

Hi Manoj,

For the MCU part, you could go with MSP430F6736A/MSP430F6779A series, or MSP430I203x/MSP430I204x series, which provide multiple sigma-delta ADCs for the measurement.

Also, you could refer to this page: http://www.ti.com/solution/electricity-meter. There resides all the information related to the electricity meters.

Hi Manoj,

There's no need for independent sensor. The electricity meter uses the on-chip ADC to sample the voltage and current at the same time and then do the multiplication and accumulation to calculate the energy. All you need is some passive component to condition the power line to a proper signal as the ADC's input (both voltage and current). You could refer to the reference design I posted before.

that's what I want a sensor or module that can measure all the parameters shown in that video.

I totally understand, and really sorry since currently we only provide MCU as a total solution, no "standalone sensor" can be provided to you.

Sorry for not helping this time. But still please go with TI if you have any other requirement.
