CSD97395Q4M: Alternative parts

Dear all,

The customer is currently considering the CSD97395Q4M, but has been asked if similar performance can be achieved using two FETs and a driver IC.

I looked for a FET but couldn't find a driver.

(Output peak current is 60A, and there are not many driver ICs that satisfy it.)

If you know a driver IC that meets the same performance as CSD97395Q4M, please let me know.

(By the way, CSD17382F4 is selected for FET.)

    Thanks for promoting TI FETs at your customer. Can you please provide additional details on this application: input voltage, output voltage and continuous output current. I only see 60A peak output current. We do have an online synchronous buck tool that can help with FET selection by calculating MOSFET power losses: https://webench.ti.com/wb5/FETs_Selection/FETPBWizard.jsp

    Since this device is used in various products, I / O conditions are unknown.

    However, we are requesting that we look for products other than RoHS Exempt (Green or Pb free and without RoHS Exempt).

    Are there any driver ICs that could be proposed?

    (Please also tell me the type of driver installed in CSD97395Q4M)

  • Hi Ottey-san,

    For the gate driver, I would recommend TPS51604. For the FETs, we have the Power Block II, in a half-bridge configuration, which is 100% lead free with no RoHS exemption. The parts you should consider are the CSD87384M and CSD87588N. The FETs used in the CSD87588N are closest in performance to those in the CSD97395Q4M. I do not have detailed information on the driver used in the CSD97395Q4M.
