TPS92610-Q1: About LEDs configuration

Part Number: TPS92610-Q1

Hi team,

A cusotmer asks some questions about TPS92610-Q1.

-. TPS92610-Q1 can be used for TFT LCD backlight?

-. For below configuration with TFT LCD(800 x 90), can TPS92610-Q1 support fine dimming control without brighteness issue and etc?

Thanks,

Sam Lee

  • Hi Lee

Could you offer the detail about the project, like the LED's parameter, the dimming ruquest and the diagnostic quest.

  • Hi Frank,

There is not detailed spec yet. When assuming that general LEDs are used, can the dimming control be achieved well through TPS92610-Q1?

Fyi, they had experience for 6 series x 2 strings (272x280) with TPS92610-Q1, but at this time they're trying to change the configuration into 3 series x 4strings with different resolution (800x90).

Do you think that it'll be okay?

    Thanks,

    Sam Lee

  • Hi Frank,

A customer is waiting for your answer to make the next progress. Can you get me your feedback about if TPS92610-Q1 is available for the 4 strings x 3series (6", 800x90)? The max. output current at TPS92610-Q1 will be under 200mA.

If TPS92610-Q1 is not a proper device, can you recommend other driver for the application?

Please refer to LED spec below.

    Thanks,

    Sam Lee

  • Hi Lee,

I have some question about this project:
1)As you say the max output current of TPS92610 is 200mA, so the forward current of each string is about 50mA.I must know the Vf of LED @50mA and the input voltage, then I can judge whether it can satisfy the thermel feature.

2)Do you customer have dimming require because TPS92610 is defined for rear lamp, so I am not sure whether it suit or not.

3)Could you offer the customer's information, and the detail of the project.

You can send e-mail to me , I think it's a more efficient way to communicate and good for customer's privacy.
