Hi team,

I want to use LM74610-Q1 for Oring application (3.3V) , but i have concern about the reverse current during one of the LM74610's input voltage drops , because Oring's input are buck converter not battery .

I'm worried about the reverse current damage input buck converter during LM74610 turn off the external MOSFET (TRECOVERY)

Hi Ross,

Reverse turn off time is 2.2us and if this is not acceptable, we recommend to use LM74700 which is much faster and has a 0.5us spec (0.75us max).

Another question , if LM74700 used for battery input reverse protection , what phenomenon during " ISO16750-2 4.4 Superimposed alternating voltage "

test ? Does LM74700 turn off external MOSFET due to reverse current is triggered ? please share the waveform if you did this test ever.

Hi Ross,

Yes, the LM74700-Q1 turns on/off MOSFET during every cycle of AC super imposed test to do rectification of the AC input.

20KHz waveform with 6V pp is attached.
