I posed this follow on question on 3/30/09 in a previous post and am still awaiting and answer. The design is held up awaiting clarification on the question this further documentation discrepancy
I am trying to find the current drain of th RTC to determine battery life. The only reference I can find is in the TPS65950 Data Manual and it is on page 55 and it appears to be 2.25uA (Table 4-20).
Some more confusion here, the equivalent Table in the TPS65930/20 Data Manual (Table 4-12 on page 45) does not have a "Backup" mode. Presumably VBRTC is the voltage that supplies power to the RTC in the backup state and on page 27 it states "VBRTC is not used in this configuration"?
The documantation discrepancies between statements in SWCS037C, SWCA025 and SWCU052A continue to raise the ultimate question:
Does the TPS65920 have a real time clock that is backed up by the battery connected to BKBAT?
I would appreciate an answer as soon as possible so that I can finalize the design, thank you.
