TPS3711: If SENSE pin is applied earlier than VDD?

Part Number: TPS3711

Hi Experts,

If the voltage is applied to SENSE pin earlier than VDD pin, is the device still working? We are expecting below behavior.

Since there is no specification between SENSE and VDD, please let me confirm.

Regards,

Hisao Uchikoshi

  • Hisao-san,

Your understanding is correct. If SENSE is powering up before Vdd, the circuit should activate once its powered up. Vdd has to exceed 1.8 V for at least 150 us (typ) before the output state reflects the input condition. Prior to this, the output is undefined.

    Thanks,
    Abhinav.
