BQ51050B: EN62133-2 compliance

Hello,

One of my customer is working on a new project to charge a Li-ion battery with this chip. They are looking to certify the chip/their complete system.

TüV informed that they need to copmly to EN62133-2.

Could you please help us here? Do we have design examples or certification?

Hello Needhu

The standard EN62133-2 will focus mainly on the battery and not the charging IC, BQ51050B. Sorry but we can provide little assistance here.

the customer wanted to know if we have any IC certified in any way with an Li-ion battery?

Hi Needhu

EN62133-2 is a battery standard, we do not certify our IC to that standard. Like most certifications the test are done at system level not IC level.
