Hi

battery USES 3 cell in series, 4.35*3= 13.05v, and USES bq40z50. It needs to go through the steps of obtaining chem id, configuration parameters, calibration and self-learning, etc. May I ask whether one battery cell or the battery pack in series is used in the tests in these processes?

    Hi

        To obtain the chem ID, you need to use 1s cell for match IT test or send to TI for battery characterizing test. for learning cycle test, you need to use the cell configuration(xSzP) per your actual application requirement

    If I use 3S to match the chemical ID and record the data with bqstudio, which contains the single cell data, is this ok?

    it does not specify which tools is used to collect data, but the example the document used if for 1S, so suggest to use single cell gauge like bq27426, bq27742 or even bq40z50 can be used for 1s application, but a pure gauge with no protection like bq27426 could be better.
