Hi Team,

Would you advise my customer's question that

please inform details of overcurrent protection mechanism?

Because there is a current limit formula of

Equation 23. IDC_LIMIT = (IHS_LIMIT + ILS_LIMIT) / 2

in 7.3.13 Overcurrent and Short-Circuit Protection

in Datasheet, there is no explanation with using block diagram.

Any update should be highly appreciated.

    The LM73606 provides overcurrent protection for high-side and low-side limits. This means there is current sensing on both the FETs in case any of them hits current.

    The formula is just the average between the two limits when considering this as DC output current. This can help size the inductor for maximum DC inductor current so it does not saturate in these conditions.
