TPS65911: Need PMIC for FPGA and Processor

Please refer below details which is taken from PMIC “TPS65911” datasheet.

In this table the recommended PMIC device for 66AK2G02 is TPS659118.

We are using 66AK2G12 processor. As per your recommendation, can we use TPS65911A for 66AK2G12 part.?

Also there is no separate datasheet available for TPS659118 & TPS65911A.

Provide ordering information for the part “TPS65911”

In addition to this, we need PMIC for FPGA – Arria V Part “5AGXMB1”

Please provide your suggestion.

For Intel Arria V GX device with Part # "5AGXMB1", you can search on this page on TI's website:

http://www.ti.com/design-resources/design-tools-simulation/processor-fpga-power/altera.html

This page says TPS650860 and TPS65911 are PMICs which are compatible with Intel Arria V GX, but the Part # "5AGXMB1" is not listed.

Hi Brian,

In PMIC "TPS650860" the load current is not matched with our requirement.

Here, I have attached our approximate current requirement for each rail,

3.3V	3A
1.5V	0.5A
2.5V	1.7A
1.1V	10A
1.15V	3A

Could you please suggest PMIC which meet our requirement.?

Also suggest PMIC for processor “66AK2G12.”

Why do you say load current of TPS650861 does not match your requirements?

TPS650861 has 3 DC-DC controllers (external FETs can carry >20A current), 3 DC-DC converters (3 A each), 3 programmable LDOs and 1 LDO for DDR termination.

You can program the TPS650861 yourself using the BOOSTXL-TPS650861 BoosterPack with an MSP430 LaunchPad and evaluate this solution.

Yes, you can use TPS65911A as PMIC for 66AK2G12; the datasheet with lit# "SWCS049S" good to use for TPS65911A; its orderable part # is TPS65911AA2ZRC. Picture below shows the distributors and their stock.
