TPS23881: Port Mosfet parameter selection guide in the datasheet

Hello,

As shown below, the datasheet notes the Qpn should follow the Rds_on, Qg and Ciss guide.

Why? Do we must follow them?

Is there any documents to show the reasons?

Hi Anders,

The Rdson on could be lower than 50 mohm if you don't care too much about the cost. The gate charge and input capacitance requirement is based on internal analog design and loop control stability. Thanks.

Hi Penny,

Does Qg and Ciss parameters must follow the recommended value in DS?

This question came from customer because there are 4 MPN (manufacture part number) under one CPN. some of the could not totally meet Qg and Ciss we recommended. So customer want us help to confirm if it is a potential risk.
