LMR14050-Q1: Request worst case Leakage current at FB pin.

Part Number: LMR14050-Q1

Could you provide the worst case leakage current at the FB pin at -40C and +85C for this device: LMR14050SQDDARQ1?  Thank you.

  • Hi,

It doesn't look like we have  the bias current requirement on the FB node in the datasheet.

That is something that would requires a distribution over parts.

Are you trying to determine bias current of device?

It looks like we have light load efficiency data in the datassheet.

  • Hi Marshall: Thank you for the reply. I am performing worst case analysis on our circuit, and would need to know the leakage so we could determine the worst case voltage output.  Could you provide such data under the temperature range specified? Thanks.

    Norman

  • As this is something not tested for in validation, I cant give you a datapoint that is guaranteed over temperature.

How do you plan to use this information? Maybe I can help alleviate your concerns without this information.

  • We are doing this based entirely on calculation:  Vout = Vref(1+Rfbt/Rfbb)+ I leak*Rfbt

This is a standard requirement for automotive company, and many company provide such data on request. Could you look into this?  Thank you.

  • Norman,

I am unsure how I can help you with this information as it was not done in product validation.

I am in agreement with you that requirements for automotive applications are strict.

This is not a popular request from customers. Many customers are more concerned with the influence of variation between pfm and ccm mode, as well, the temperature coefficient of feedback resistors on output voltage.

I am uncertain how possible nA leakage currents will be a big influenecer on output voltage.
