TPS62810-Q1: Output capacitor selection

Hi 

Datasheet suggest 2 x 22uF + 10uF for the output capacitor. However the EVM only use 2 x 22uF for the output capacitor. 

May I know the purpose the 10uF ?

    Hi,

    as shown in table 3 on page 14 of the datasheet, the minimum recommended output capacitance is dependent on the selected output voltage.

    Because the EVM is set to 1.8Vout, 2x22µF are sufficient. If you lower the output voltage below 1V, the additional 10µF capacitor would be needed.
