UCD90120A: When GPI is configured as GPI Fault Enable what is the effect if any on the power rails

Part Number: UCD90120A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD90160A, UCD9090A

When UCD90120A has a GPI configured as fault enable, to enable fault logging, what is the effect on power rails (if any) upon de-assertion of said GPI?  If resequencing were enabled, would the device shut down and then resequence or is there no effect?  I could not find behavior described in the datasheet, FAQ, or forum questions.

Thank you!

  • Hello

For UCD90120A,  enabling GPI fault is to let the device to log the GPI fault. There is nothing more.

If you want to use GPI to turn off or on rails, PIN SELECTED RAIL STATE shall help you.

For the UCD9090A and UCD90160A, we have improved the GPI fault.

Please refer the below application notes. Those improvements is also applied on UCD90120A.

Would you mind sharing what you want to achieve ?

    Regards

    Yihe
