Yes, it has load as below:
Do I need a bigger inductor for the battery charger, the current one is 1uH only?
When I power it up without battery, I could see under OSC that the sys pin is switching but could not ramp up.
If I connect a battery, (Liion, 18650, 3500mAh, 3.7V, 12.95Wh, Protected Li-ion Rechargeable Battery, Part# 1s1pmj1), the sys pin can ramp up to 4.2V and start charging the battery.
I have verify that the two resistor connect to TS (pin 11) are soldered good. The input current set to 2.5A and the charge current set to 1A by resistors. What else I have missed?
I can see the charger should work without battery from the 1st page of your data sheet. Have I done something wrong?
By the way, I have the power sequence to turn ON the 5V / 3.3V DC converter, the Enables of 5V / 3.3V DC converter has delay right after the sys pin of charger has output. Is it an issue?
Thank you for your support.
John
I could see the data sheet showed that BQ25606 works without battery. May I add a NTC to the load to limit the current during start-up? What's the recommended value? The data sheet doesn't mention about this. please advise. Thank you.
