BQ24650: Solar Panel Input Detection

Hi Team,

My customer is wondering if the BQ24650 has any feature to indicate a status signal for external solar power available? Ideally this signal would be sent over to their host MCU.

    Hi Mitchell,

       STAT1 and STAT2 are open drain charge status output to indicate charger operation. STAT2 indicates charge complete, and STAT1 indicates charge in progress. STAT1 indicates fault when Charge suspend, overvoltage, sleep mode, battery absent.

       They could connect a resistor divider from the input net to their MCU (divide down the voltage to a safe range for MCU pin) to detect solar panel.
