TPS56637: pattern prohibited areas under device

Hi Team,

My customer want to check if TPS56637 has a pattern prohibited area directly under the device(some of devices have such the area so this is just confirmation).

Is there areas around the Vin, PGND, SW, and BOOT pins that TI doesn't not want to route the pattern directly under the device?

Hi Onawa-san,

Please follow the layout recommendations and example in page 24,25 of the datasheet. Do not route any signal traces below the SW or BOOT node as switching can couple into the signal traces. Do not route any signal traces below the inductor as well. If you see the layout example, you can see that the AGND plane is a solid plane different from the PGND plane. The AGND and PGND should be connected at a single point ONLY. Please follow the layout recommendations in the datasheet for a good layout.
