UCC28180: ucc28180

Part Number: UCC28180

we have developed a charger module for electric bikes with rated delivery of 2 kW at 48 V and it is working good. It contains SG3525 IC to give firing pulses to switches employed in isolated full bridge topology. Now, we need to include active PFC control in our circuit and we are pretty much interested in using UCC28180 controller. In the application notes for the above said IC you have given a circuit(figure 18 in http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slup348 )in which it contains an auxiliary power supply network. Even our existing product also comes with same auxiliary power supply scheme.
So with these details kindly answer my  following  questions please,
1)what is the need of sensing PFC sections output and giving it as a feedback?
2) what are the reference signals and where are you giving reference inputs in
your ic?
3)supply to the ic is given from auxiliary power supply in your block diagram(figure 39 in http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slup348 )can we do the same?
4) whwther the micro controller should be connected to this pfc ic? if yes then how and where can i connect micro controller to this ic, means at what pin can i connect?

in simple words i want to know what are the feedback signals and its use in power factor correction?

what are the reference signals and how they are generated from feedback signal?

what is the supply to the ic?

how to interface the ic with existing product?
