TPS22990: MAX ALLOWED CT VALUE

The TPS22990 datasheet table 2 listed CT value vs PG turn on time.

The highest CT value listed is 10nF.

If customer want to use 22nF for a longer time, is there any potential problem?

Hi Ding,

There should be no issue with using a higher capacitance on the CT pin.

TI does not spec it but it is not incorrect operation.

Ding,

The CT capacitor does not have a maximum value, but large CT values may cause concern from a thermal perspective depending on the loading conditions.
