When I install a charged battery (let's say 18volts), I damage either or all Q1, Q2, Q3. Why is this and how can I modify the circuit so a charged battery will not damage one of those MOSFETs?

Hi Harrison,

What is the value of L1? What is the purpose of R3 and C8 in your schematic? What is input voltage? Can you also show me the whole schematic including input side?

One next step would be to order an EVM and evaluate your design on that prior to making any changes.
