BQ4050: FUSE Pin

HI

FUSE pin (25)  is defined as an output in the BQ4050 data sheet (page 4, Pin Functions table)  , however only after pulling it to GND we have managed to toggle CHG pin and enablr charging  (even on test mode). We saw this issue both on our design and on the EVM (after removing R16 ,R17) , is there any registers configuration which will enable leaving this pin floating? How does output defined pin cause changes in the IC functionality?
