TPS61030: Inquiry for reducing in rush current.

Hi Team,

My customer is facing in-rush current problem.

She tried soft start application note below.

However it was not effective before Vout=Vin timing.

In case of Vin=3V, Iin reaches Iswlim current before Vout=Vin.

This means no improvement.

Could you advise are there any method to reduce in rush current

smaller than 0.4 x Isw=1600mA?

Any advice should be highly appreciated.

Hi Shidara-san,

In the waveform, the input current reaches to around 1.6A, this is the precharge phase current limit typical value shown in datasheet.

Do you know what's the customer's target accepted input inrush current? Would they accept change to use another boost device?
