USB-TO-GPIO: Use multiple USB-TO-GPIO on one computer on the same board

Part Number: USB-TO-GPIO

Hi,

Is it possible to use 2 USB-to-GPIO on the same computer to communicate with 2 different serial busses on one board for programming? If this can be done, is there a command to select the USB-to-GPIO by ID with the Fusion Digital Power GUI?

Thanks,

Jose

  • Hello, I have asked the software engineer for the Fusion Digital Power Designer GUI to reply here. Please allow some time.

  • HI, Joe

Current GUI only supports one adapter at a time. However, there is workaround:

    - Install 2 Fusion GUI applications in two different folders.

    - Plug in only 1 adapter (adapter #1) and launch Fusion GUI (GUI #1). Make sure to stop polling on GUI #1

    - Unplug adapter #1. Plug in other USB adapter (adapter #2), then launch other Fusion GUI (GUI #2). Make sure to stop polling on GUI #2

    - Plug back adapter #1. Now you can have 2 GUI running on 2 different adapters at a time.

*** Caution: might have communication issue that might cause GUI hangs or crashes => make sure only send one command at a time.
