TPS65296: TINA-TI file

Part Number: TPS65296
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Dear,

Its possible give the TINA-TI file for simulation? Because the file "TPS65296 TINA TI Reference Design.zip" in website just have the reference design and not the simulator file.

Or update WEBENCH® POWER DESIGNER to contain this component.

The purpose is to scale my project according to the requirements.

Best Regards,

Nuno Batista

  • Hi, For this part, there are no TINA and Webench tool available, if you have design evaluation or review, I can support.

  • Dear,

At this moment i design this part according to the reference design, but the project dont need the maximium current available for the outputs.

The objective is reduce the indutance and consequently the price.

For the output 1.8V the maximium current i need just 50mA.

For 1.1V output i need 2,5A , in this case the inductor recommend have 17A of the maximium current, i think its to much for me.

I think i can use the lowest inductor recommended in the datasheet, but for this the datasheet dont have the recommended Part Number.

If you need more information about the project ask me.

    Best Regards,

    Nuno Batista

  • Hi Nuno,

The inductor value can be selected following the table 4 in datasheet, but smaller inductor size can be selected, such as you can select murata DFE252012F series for 1.8V and 5X5 size or smaller size for 1.1V, but recommend the Isat not too small, better closer to OCP value or a little smaller than OCP.

For Output cap, 1.8V and 1.1V can both select 0603 x5r 22uf 6.3V caps to cost down for your case.
