TPS5430: Spice model of this part is not working.

Dear forum,

I am using Tina Ti simulation tool for my circuit simulation. i wanted to create custom part in Tina Ti, and pick TPS5430 part,

started creating it, when import spice model to the Tina Ti it is showing error.

Not only this spice model i had tried many spice model from TI.com none of the spice model is not working.

I really don't no what is the problem,either problem with spice model or the procedure problem.

In one the Tina Ti video tutorial they said to import the .cir file but in any of the spice model that is available in Ti.com does not comes with .cir file?

kindly solve my issue. help me to get rid of this problem

Hi Neal, Naveen,

The simulations are fine on Webench. I was also able to export them to Tina. I'm attaching TINA exports for your reference if need be. Hope this resolves your issue.

My actual problem is while creating the custom components in Tina Ti.

I will be attaching the screen shots.

1) Tools -> New macro model. (Model name LM1117)

2) Entered the Macro name and importing the .Cir file / Spice model file to Tina Ti

3) Auto shape is generated based on the input of .Cir file / Spice model file which i had imported.

4) After all doing all these procedure TIna Ti is throwing the error says invalid Device.

5) Circuit can not be opened or created.

7) Attaching the Zip file, from which i try to create model.

Hi Naveen,

.cir file contains an entire circuit. It is generally from the test bench on ti.com. What you need is a .lib file. Also, you need to map the pins properly for your custom model to work.

Please note that most of the .lib files on ti.com are encrypted and you may not be able to use them in the method you're trying. most probably, you'll need an un-encrypted .lib file.
