Hi,
The BQ24193 has a ILIM pin that can be used to limit the input current through the VBUS pins. What we would ideally want to set is 300 mA, but I assume 500 mA is the closest (same or higher) that we can achieve, using R(ILIM) = 1.07kOhm and/or REG00 = 010.
1) Is that a correct understanding, that 500 mA current limiting is the closest (same or higher) to 300 mA we can get?
2) If we select to go with 500 mA current limiting, can we leave the ILIM pin floating? It would be beneficial for us if we could skip that component. The question is based on the assumption that floating the pin would mean "infinite" resistance, that way pushing the HW current limiting down to a minimum, in turn meaning 500 mA. We would have the possibility to set it through I2C as well (REG00), in case that is needed to allow ILIM to be left floating (?).
Thanks!
