UCD90320: UCD90320

Part Number: UCD90320
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS51518

Hi there,

In my project, our customer would like to use UCD90320 judge if input voltage (PVNN_PCH_AUX) for PCH is normal or not?

Power: PVNN_PCH_AUX is generate from TI  TPS51518 chip and TPS51518 communicate with PCH by VID signals.

TPS51518 provide 4 different voltage (0.85V,0.9V,0.95V,1.0V) to PCH by VID setting accordingly.

We intend to connect PCH VID signal to UCD90320 GPI pin so that UCD90320 know what PVNN_PCH_AUX voltage level should be.

UCD90320 can check PVNN_PCH_AUX is normal or not?

PVNN_PCH_AUX is connect to UCD AMON pin, Intel PCH VID connect to UCD DMON as GPI purpose.

Please feedback the connection is correct or not.

Thank you.

  • HI

Yes, you can do this but with below recommendation.

For the Intel PCH VID signals, it is better to connect with GPIOs other than DMON so that DMON can be used for other things.
