UCC28063: Schematic review.

Part Number: UCC28063
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC256303

HI

My customer is currently configuring a circuit with UCC28063 + UCC256303.

At the moment, the GATE of the UCC28063 opens at 4 kHz, but the Vout is output as it is.

Could you review the schematic?

In the schematic values I could not find anything unusual.

  • Hello,

I reviewed the schematic and the output voltage controlled by Vsense would be set to 358V.  This is typically 390V.

I this what the customer intended to do?

The rest of the schematic look to be correct.  They do have an inrush current limiting circuit formed by Q7.  You might want to check that to make sure it is functioning correctly.

There is an excel design tool that you can use to check the components in the schematic the customer used to make sure they are correct based on there input and output power requirements.  You can find the tool at the following link.
