LM76003-Q1: How to calculate the power dissipation of bootstrap resistor

Hello Team,

My customer asked how to calculate the power dissipation of bootstrap resistor(Rboot) when adding a Rboot resistor in series with a bootstrap capacitor(Cboot).
Would you please explain in detail how to calculate this power dissipation of Rboot and send me the relevant apps note if you have?

Hi DY,

I'm afraid customer can't calculate it. The Rboot loss is related to the gate charge of the high side MOSFET, which should not be given to customer. Send me email if the customer still want to know it. (neal-zhang@ti.com)
