Hi,

I'm using EM1402EVM together with LAUNCHXL-TMS57004 and I have some questions about balancing current.

In the EMB1499Q the Absolute Max Rating of VSET are -0.5V to 7.5V and the Operating ratings are 1V to 2.2V. Setting VSET=2V the balancing current are 5A and 3A with VSET=1.2V. Are this the only values I should set VSET? Does the system only work with 3A and 5A? If i want a balancing current of 100mA, can I set VSET=40mV like this or doesn't work like that? Or if i want a balancing current of 3.75A, can VSET be 1.5V?

Hi user,

Please read closely over section 5.3.1 of this guide: http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sluuas6a/sluuas6a.pdf. You can set Vset between 1-2.2V based on your preference.

Can VSET accept another value out this rang?

Hi user,

We don't recommend to go outside of the operating range in the datasheet, you are free to try it and characterize performance yourself but we cannot guarantee performance/functionality when operating outside datasheet specs.
