Hello,
We use the Charger BQ24230. We have to decrease the quiescent current of the whole system to reach an acceptable storage time of the device.
We measure a quiescent current around 13uA from Charging IC under following condition:
- No power is applied on IN (Pin13)
- The load attached to 4V2 is in deep sleep (1.7uA)
- Circuit according to the attached picture
If we connect the Pin EN1 to GND instead of 4V2, we measure a quiescent from BQ24230 current around 2.3uA (4uA with load in deep sleep)
The question: Are there other possibilities to reduce the quiescent current? What we have to change to improve it?
Thank you and best regards
Hi Damien,
One thing you could do to reduce the current if you need the USB500 mode for when EN1 is high is put a pullup resistor from EN1 to Out.
