LP5562: Could I use LP5562 for LCM backlight brightness control driver?

Dear Sir,

Could I use LP5562 for below application? LCM 4ch white LED for LCM backlight brightness control

or do you have better advice than LP5562? Thanks.

Hi Hugo,

It is OK to drive 4 LEDs by LP5562. Please provide more details of your design like the LED current, dimming resolution and so on so we can determine if LP5562 is suitable.

Hi Hardy,

Vf is 2.9~3.4V,
LED current is 25mA max per ch.
Dimming resolution I think LP5562 100uA/steps should be good enough.

Does above info answer your quesion?

BTW... Should we tie A3 pin CLK_32K to GND for using LP5562 internal clock?

Hi Hardy,

Our other team member float A3 pin on old project before. But I found datasheet suggest A3 pin CLK_32K tie to GND if we use internal clock.
So, I will follow datasheet to tie A3 to GND.

Please correct me if any...

Yes it is suggested to connect CLK_32K pin to GND to prevent extra current consumption and other risks.
