TPS2546: which mode is suggested for the S0 power state?

Part Number: TPS2546

Customer is using TPS2546 in their notebook application., but not sure about which mode is suggested to configure at the beginning for S0 power state, SDP or CDP? What is the default mode for S0? Could you please help give some guidance? Thank you.

    Hello Aki,

    It depends on what the customer wants from the TPS2546. 

    SDP - Standard Downstream Port, sends data only

    CDP - Charging Downstream Port, sends data and has charging capabilities

    These modes can be configured by the CTL pin inputs, as listed in Table 2 from the TPS2546 datasheet.
