Hi Experts,
We want to know what will happen when I remove RF resistor after startup(soft-start finished)?
Original RF is 866K and we remove it when buck operates in steady static.
TPS53355 will shutdown or keep work and just change Fsw?

Hi, will check with team and give you feedback tomorrow.

Hi,
Can I know the use case to change the RF resistor on-the-fly?
Regards,
Gerold
Hi Gerold,
Actually, there is a risk that will hit and damage this RF resistor.
So I want to evaluate its failure mode.
According to datasheet described, switching frequency is detected and stored during the startup.
So it will be no impact when TPS53355 in regulation and will just impact next time startup Fsw setting?
Hi Jan,
Yes, the frequency setting is read and stored in the registers. So it should be impacted when the next time the device enters the startup sequence.
If you have an EVM for this device, you could quickly confirm this on the board as well.

Gerold
