TL2575HV-05-Q1: Output inductor overheating/bubbling

Part Number: TL2575HV-05-Q1

We're using the TL2575HV-05-Q1 to drop a 48V input to 5V to feed some LEDs, and then an LDO to 3.3V which feeds a PIC with PWM. Total current draw at the 5V load is less than 1A.

Schematic:

C3EEV-FK1K101Q, 80V rating

D1NRVTSA4100ET3G, 100V rating

L1PE-52627NL

C2EMZS250ARA471MHA0G, 25V rating

The +5V_IN net feeds 2 LEDs and an LDO that drops 5V to 3.3V. The 3.3V output also provides auxiliary power to a PWM that fans out to an array of SSR's that drive high power LEDs downstream. The high power LEDs are fed by the 48V input to the buck. The low voltage digital electronics are isolated from the high voltage load through the SSRs.

After testing one LED load for ~10 minutes, inductor L1 started bubbling up and was extremely hot. The total power draw of the entire system was <500mA during this time. Is there something I'm overlooking? Is something like an L220 or L150 better suited, even though the curves don't show continuous operation for 48V?
