Dear colleague,
Our customer wants to use UC2572 to make power solution, Vin=12V, Vout=-200V, Iout_max=1mA.
UC2572 is a very old device.
Do we have some new devices and some design?
Thanks a lot!
Best Regards,
Rock Su

Hi Rock,
It uses external FETs and it should be doable, but we will take a look into this, as this is an old part and we need to study it, too.
Please be noted that we will be able to offer follow-on support next week. Wish you a happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Rock,
This requires to implement an inverting buck-boost and the UCC2572 is still our good choice from our product line. You just need to design a DCM circuit (by choosing a small inductor) such that the required duty cycle is not limited by the IC's max duty. I would set the max duty cycle to 75%:
75% > sqrt( 2 x Fsw x Lm x Po) /Vin_min
By this you select the inductance of Lm at a desired switching frequency Fsw.
Thanks,
Youhao
Hi Rock,
Sorry the online datasheet is our latest, and we don't have a more detailed datasheet. For design assistance, you may refer to the following article.
