TPS51631A: The SVID-PMIC for D1559 processor , we are using TI recommended parts TPS51631 for 1.8V rail and TPS53625 for 1.05V and 1.2V rails.

Part Number: TPS51631A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS53625

Please we need a clarity on both PMIC's. what is main diff bw both. Why we need to use different PMIC's for D1559 processor core power rails?

  • Hi Arjun,

TPS51631A is VR12.5 protocol supported controller, and it only support none-zero loadline application. If it is used to other zero-loadline required rail, you will lose a little bit DC accuracy due to loadline, however, as long as AC+DC meet requirement, it is still ok to be used.

If you don't like it additional voltage drop due to loadline, then please use TPS53625, it supports zero-loadline application.

    Hope this answer your questions.

    Thanks
