Is the protocol for programming device firmware documented anyway?

That is programing srec to update the R1  using the R2 firmware.

While it can be done from BQ studio I'd like to have this all fully automated by our production test software.

Also need information on programming the Chemistry ID.

Updating the Chemistry ID seems to modify some data in the HexDump from bqStudio's Data Memory tab.

But the modified field don't apeear to be documented anywhere.

Is there a document / app note detailing how to fully configure the device without using bqStudio.

Including Firmware update, Chemistry and config update, reboot commands etc.

    Hi Phil,

    Unfortunately, there is no documentation published to ti.com for programming an srec. I do have example code and an Updater tool that I can share with you - I'll send you a private message with the info to download these.

    The Chemistry ID should be programmed in BQStudio, and then you can save the srec with the updates. The ChemID updates many hidden values in data flash.
